A group of 28 Christian Liberty Academy students and chaperones met Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono, center right, at the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C., during its recent 13-day U.S. history tour. The group also visited Jamestown, Va., Boston, toured the White House, saw the statue of King Kamehameha at the U.S. Capitol and returned to Hilo with a new appreciation of the nation’s history.
